  8.       BACKGROUND
  9.       
  10.       The Bitsurfer is used for ISDN connections. In order to use the
  11.       Bitsurfer successfully, you may have to make the following
  12.       modifications to the ReachOut ISDN Setup.
  13.       
  14.       SOLUTION
  15.       
  16.        1.  Open the ReachOut Configuration Icon and select ISDN.
  17.        2.  At the next screen for the Modem choose ISDN Generic.  Make
  18.            sure that Communications type is set to Modem
  19.        3.  Click on the Advanced button. Change the Prefix to read ATD.
  20.        4.  At the same screen, change the Carrier to Ignore.
  21.        5.  Open the Modem Configuration button. Locate the ISDN Generic
  22.            modem.
  23.        6.  Click on the Edit button. Locate the Reset String.
  24.        7.  Within the Reset String locate the expression X4. Change it
  25.            to read X2.
  26.        8.  Click OK all the way out. 
  27.        9.  Open the Configuration Icon again and select any modem from
  28.            the list. A Hayes Compatible is fine. Now select the ISDN 
  29.            Generic Modem. Click OK all the way out. The Bitsurfer 
  30.            should now work with ReachOut.
